Frequently asked questions.
Everything buyers and sellers ask about our online auctions — bidding, fees, payment, pickup, and how to sell your equipment at auction.
Bidding & buying
How do I bid in an AuctionUbid auction?
Our online auctions run on the HiBid platform. Open the AuctionUbid HiBid catalog, create or sign in to your free bidder account, register for the sale you want, and place your bids before the lots close.
Is there a buyer's premium or sales tax?
Yes. A 15% buyer's premium is added to all purchases, plus 7.25% North Carolina sales tax unless a valid NCDOR tax exemption form is on file. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
When and how do I pay?
Credit cards are automatically charged when the auction closes. A paid sales receipt is typically sent by the end of business day.
What condition are items in?
All property sells AS-IS, WHERE-IS with all faults, if any. We recommend inspecting items during the scheduled preview before you bid — contact us to arrange a preview appointment.
When and how do I pick up my items?
Items must be paid in full before removal and picked up on the scheduled removal day unless prior arrangements are made. Late-removal fees apply ($200 minimum for the first hour, $75 per additional hour).
Can I inspect items before bidding?
Yes — previews are available by appointment. Contact us to schedule an inspection at our Garner, NC location.
What can I buy?
Restaurant equipment, furniture, office & business liquidations, home goods, and general merchandise at auction — plus brand-new equipment at fixed prices.
Do you ship, or is it local pickup?
New fixed-price equipment ships warehouse-direct nationwide. Auction lots are typically local pickup in Garner, NC; buyers are welcome to arrange their own freight.
