This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit auctionubid.com, contact us, or participate in our auctions. Bidding is conducted on the HiBid platform, which processes bidder registration and payments under its own terms and privacy policy.

Identifiers & contact data — name, email, phone number, mailing/pickup address.
Account & bidding data — registration and bidding activity (primarily handled through HiBid).
Payment data — processed by HiBid and its payment processors; we do not store full card numbers.
Communications — messages you send us and consultation details.

To provide auction, liquidation and equipment-sales services and respond to your inquiries.
To process consignments, bids, sales, payment coordination and pickup.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. To opt out of any sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising, email info@auctionubid.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share," or enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, which we honor where required.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Security & breach notification (North Carolina)

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. In accordance with North Carolina's Identity Theft Protection Act (N.C. Gen. Stat. Ch. 75, Art. 2A), if a security breach affects the personal information of North Carolina residents, we will notify affected residents and the North Carolina Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division without unreasonable delay, and consumer reporting agencies where required.

Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
